You set the rules for your own record.

Care Journal is built for cancer patients and their families. Your record is encrypted before it leaves your device, and nothing reaches your care team without your say.

What Care Journal is.

Care Journal doesn’t diagnose, prevent, mitigate, or treat any health condition, injury, illness or disease. Nobody is reading what you write unless you send it to them, and it isn’t a way to reach anyone urgently. It can tell you what other people on the same treatment often report, and when something is worth a call. It won’t tell you how serious something is. That’s between you and the clinicians who treat you.

If you think you are having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency room.

Encrypted before it leaves your hands.

Your recording is encrypted on your device with AES-256 before it is ever sent, and protected with TLS 1.3 in transit. What reaches your care team, and when, is a choice only you make.

Your care team

Sees only what you choose to share.

You decide who sees what.

Sharing is opt-in and reversible. Your care team, the people you love, and, for trial patients, the trial, each see only what you grant. You can change your mind at any time.

Trial submissions are part of your clinical trial record and follow your signed trial consent. Everything else stays private to you.

Sharing is a separate choice, made later.

Care Journal is free because researchers pay to understand how treatments actually feel. That is a decision you make on its own, well after you sign up, and never as a condition of using the app.
